AN INCREASED YARDING. THE PRICES REALISED. (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Messrs. A. Buckland and Son report that at Westfield to-day they penned 288 head (147 steers and 141 cows), compared with 251 last week. Extra choice ox sold to 43s per 1001 b, choice and prime 40s to 425, secondary and plain 37s to 395, prime young cow and heifer beef 35s to 38s, ordinary cow 30s to 345. ExLra heavy prime steers ranged from £l6 10s to £l7 17s 6d, heavy £ls to £l6 ss, lighter £l3 15s to £l4 17s 6d, light £l2 lo £l3 12s 6d, unfinished and small £lO to £ll 17s 6d, extra heavy prime young cows and heifers £H to £l2 10s, heavy £9 to £lO 17s 6d, lighter £7 to £8 17s 6d, other cows £5 5s to £6 7s 6d.

Messrs Dalgcty and Company, Ltd., report from Westfield to-day as follows : Beef: Barely an average yarding of ox beef came forward, for which competition is steady, and values remain steady at last week’s prices. Cow and heifer beef were penned in average numbers and sold freely at late rates. Prime cow and heifer beef realised £9 17s 6d to £lO 17s 6d; and medium, £8 7s Gd, £8 15s, £9 and £9 12s 6ci; while light brought £6 12s 6d, £6 17s 6d, £7, £7 7s Gd and £7 12s 6d.
