Although in the morning no change was reported in the King’s condition, hopefulness prevails at the Palace, the more or less stationary period upon which His Majesty has entered being in accordance with anticipation.

After a meeting of the Cabinet Council General, De Rivera (the Spanish Prime Minister) stated that the meeing had discussed King George’s health and Lhe possibility of his coming to Spain to recuperate. General De Rivera added that King Alfonso, the Government, and the Spanish people as a whole, would be very happy if the report was well founded, but nothing has been decided. i The following message was received earlier:— CONDITION ABOUT THE SAME. It was stated at Buckingham Palace this morning that His Majesty had had a fair night, and that his condition was about the same. PARIS, Jan. 9. A message from Bordeaux says M. Max Salles, the inventor of the chloroserum -and ozone treatment for pneumonia, as the result of a communication with Lord Dawson is going to London with his apparatus for the application of the treatment.

Professor Creuchet, of Bordeaux University, has confirmed the report that conclusive results have been reached in cases of pneumonia similar to that from which King George is suffering.
