WOMAN’S TRAGIC DEATH.
BODY- FOUND IN HARBOUR
(By Telegraph.—Pr«.ss Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday.
The dead body of Mrs. Annie Clarkson, aged 39, tbe wife of William Bowes Clarkson, of Boulcott Street, was recovered from the harbour at i a.m., near the Taranaki Street, wharf. It had apparently been in the water for some hours.
SWEPT OUT TO SEA. MARRIED MAN DROWNED. WAIROA, Thursday. Two men, Charles Strong and Val Brown, were fishing at the mouth of the Mohaka River late yesterday afternoon, when the boat overturned and Strong was swept out to sea. Brown reached the shore in an exhausted condition. Strong’s body was recovered this morning. The deceased was married and resided at Frasertown.
butcher injured. WHANGAR El, Wednesday. When David Love, aged 23, a butcher, was killing a pig at Whau Valley yesterday, his knife slipped and inflicted a deep gash on his right forearm. MAN FOUND DROWNED. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Henry Heinisch, aged 79, was found drowned at Springston this morning.
