One modern girl’s viewpoint of Mr Stanley Baldwin’s enfranchisement Act led her to a Glasgow Court, charged with not filling In her registration form. Miss Peggy Boneman, the girl in question, said: “If I fill in the form I will have to vote for some * Idiot who wants to loaf.” The Magistrate advised her to register in order to vote for the least Idlotlo candidate, and she reluctantly agreed to do so.
