ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.

ELEANOR BOLLING RETURNING. APPRECIATION OF HELP. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Mr Brophy, second in command of the Byrd Expedition, received the following radio message from Commander Byrd: "Left the Eleanor Boiling in the Ross Sea. Expect her to arrive at Dunedin on December 21." He states that the coal mentioned in a cable message is that carried by the Eleanor Boiling, which was to be transhipped by gear rigged on a towing hawser. Mr Brophy called on the Ministers of Marine and Railways, and expressed appreciation of the facilities offered the expedition. He especially complimented the Wellington Harbour Board on the valuable assistance given.
