FAREWELL AFTERNOON.

AT LADIES' CROQUET CLUB. A very enjoyable afternoon was given by the members of the Tc Awamutu Ladies' Croquet Club on Wednesday as a farewell to Mrs A. A. Chittenden, who will leave shortly for her new home in Auckland. During the afternoon competitions were played, the winners being Mrs Dowds, Mrs MacArthur and Mrs Nobcs. After a delicious afternoon tea had been partaken of the president, Mrs W. Jeffcry, asked the guest of honour to accept a handsome beaten copper fruit dish as a token of the goodwill and esteem in which she was held by all Ihe members of the Club.
