RUGBY FOOTBALL

FINLAYSON WELCOMED HOME. A POPULAR ALL BLACK. WHANGAREI, Saturday. A very hearty welcome was given "Bunny" Finlayson, the All Black forward, on his arrival by the express in Whangarei. Representatives of the North Auckland and Whangarei Rugby Unions were on the platform, and a welcome was extended by the Mayor (Mr.L. J. Brake). Finlayson looked particularly wei: and fit. He has gained about a stone in weight. In subsequent conversation be said he was glad to be back. The team had received wonderful treatment. The real difficulty of the tour had been the sidestepping of the hospitality of the South Africans.
