THE WAIKATO MEETING. HORSES REACH THE SCENE. Mint Leaf and Oration, members of E. George's New Plymouth team, who are to compete at the Waikato meeting have reached Te Rapa. Mint Leaf is engaged in J,he Cup on Saturday, while Oration is in the sprint event, the Cambridge Handicap, races in which they were successful last year. Both horses have been racing latterly at the northern fixtures, and are in nice order. New Moon Injured. New Moon recently met with injury through coming into solid contact with the door of his box, and has been very lame as a result. The Te Rapa trained Kiilbroney gelding was being prepared for the sprint event at the Waikato Hunt meeting, a race that he scored in last season. Kal Horomal Scratched.
