(By Tplepiaon.- Vn'S' (Received Oct. 13, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 12, The Zeppelin's position at seven o'clock was latitude 37.43 north and longitude 33.43 west, which is west of the Azores. A strong westerly wind Is increasing with some rain. SUSTAINS SLIGHT DAMAGE. UNFAVOURABLE . WEATHER. EVERYTHING WELL. (By TelegTlpn—Pre«s Assn —CopyrKrtu.l LONDON, Oct. 12. A message from New York says the Zeppelin LZI27 at 6.30 a.m. to-day, 1100 miles east of Bermuda, sent a wireless message saying her port horizontal fin was damaged and the fabric near the tail was dropping. She requested that a surface ship be sent to follow her course. Warships were ordered to be ready if needed. The airship reported at 0 a.m. that Limited repairs had been effected. She was the'n 950 miles from Bermuda, indicating fair progress. Advices at 12.30 p.m. and 1 p.m. reported no trouble . The dirigible at present is proceeding toward Lakehurst, New Jersey, at reduced speed. The Radio Corporation of America reports that everything is well on board. The LZI27 is now expected to reach Lakehurst on Sunday afternoon, but the unfavourable weather conditions may delay her arrival still further.
Speculation is developing as to the quantity of fuel remaining on the Zeppelin, but experts consider that the reported damage is not serious. Few messages are being received from the airship, and those are mostly in code, in order to maintain secrecy as a German Company has secured the rights of the story of the flight.
