STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR

PEDESTRIAN INJURED. HEAD ABRASIONS SUSTAINED. Minor injuries were sustained by a middle-aged man, James Corbett, of Hikutaia, late on Saturday evening through being struck by a motor car near the Commerce Street-Lake Road intersection, Prankton.

The car, driven by Leister Chatfleld, was proceeding along Commerce Street towards the railway crossing, on its correct side of the road, when Corbett steppdd off the footpath, and was struck by the left hand mudguard of the car. He was admitted to the Waikato Hospital suffering from abrasions .to the head. His condition is not serious.
