Mr W. G. Plummcr, formerly of Hamilton, has been elected secretary of the Morrinsvillc Tennis Club.

Mr William Goodfellow, Managing Director of the New Zealand Co-op-erative Dairy Company, Limited, is at the Hamilton Hotel.
Princess Mary, who has been on a visit to Ireland, was accorded an enthusiastic reception at Belfast. She lias returned to England.
Mr J. A. Warnock, of Auckland, who was injured in a motor accident at Niagara, neecessitating an operation, has sufficiently recovered to enable him to leave hospital The Earl and Countess of Orford, who reached Wellington by the Ruabine on Friday, arrived in Auckland by I rain on Saturday morning with their young daughter, the Hon. Ann Walpole. The staff of the Newton police station tendered a farewell to Constable A. P. Packer last week, prior to his departure for Frankton. Constable Packer was presented with a suitcase. He took up his duties at Frankton today. Empire Hotel guests include Messrs C. W. Johnston,' B. Marshall (Wellington), R. C. Collier, M. Egland (Christchurch), J. Ilately (Belfast), (i. Brabburn, N. Wildermoth (Auckland), and U. S. Andrew and R. Gorric of the 11.M.5. Diomedcs. Messrs H. C. Gregory and Ron. Powell, of Palmerslon North, were in Hamilton durins the week-end. Having formerly been members of the Hamilton Operatic Society they came up for the production of "High Jinks." They returned to Palmerslon North last night. Cable advice has been received that Mr Eric H. Grocott, son of Mr 11. Grocott, of Hamilton, was one of the successful candidates for the final diploma of the British Optical Association Examinations recently held at the London University, and the Heriot Watt College, Edinburgh.
