FAREWELL SOCIAL.
AT TATUANUI. Miss Hamilton, of Auckland, who for some years was mistress of the Tatuanui School, was entertained by her many friends in the district at a very enjoyable social in the Tatuanui Hall. Taking advantage of the holidays, she is paying a visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs Hamilton, and her many friends there entertained her and made her a presentation of a handsome camera. The hall was prettily decorated for the occasion with greenery and streamers, and a bountiful supper was provided by the ladies of the district. Mr Norman Day, in making the presentation, expressed the regret of par- ' ents and children at losing such a capable teacher, and wished Miss Hamilton happiness and success in her new home in Auckland. Miss Hamilton suitably replied, and a very pleasant evening was spent in songs and dancing.
