RE-HEARING REFUSED.

A YOUTH’S ALLEGATIONS. RESENTED BY DETECTIVES. (By Telegraph—-Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Robert William Allen, aged 18, who had been sentenced to two years in Borstal on charges of receiving stolen goods, applied lo the magistrate, Mi Mosley, this morning for a rc-hcaring, alleging that lie had been urged to plead guilty previously by a detective when he was really innocent-Detective-Sergeant Young said he strongly resented the allegation. It was entirely unfounded. The youth had been well treated by the detective staff. After hearing evidence the Bench dismissed the application, saying that the youth had received fair treatment and had received no injury whatever.
