HAMILTON LADIES’ CLUB. A team from the Middlemore Ladies’ Golf Club played a match at Hamilton yesterday against the local club. The links were in splendid order and the greens were exceptionally good. The following are the results of the matches played in the morning (Auckland players mentioned first) : Miss E. Culling defeated Mrs Mender, 1 up. Mrs Hodges defeated Mrs Guy, 4 and 3. Mrs J. Wilson lost to Miss Wilkinson, 6 and 5. Miss F. Rathbone defeated Mrs A. Milroy, G and 5. Miss M. Macfarlane defeated Mrs G. Gower, 4 and 3. Mrs Abbott defeated Mrs Les Day, 4 and 3. Miss McGovern lost to Mrs C. I. Bennett, 3 and 1. Foursomes played in the afternoon resulted:—. Miss Culling and Miss Rathbone defeated Mrs Mander and Mrs Guy, 8 and 6. Mrs Hodges and Mrs J. Wilson defeated Mrs Milroy and Miss Wilkinson,, 3 and 2. Mrs Abbott and Miss Macfarlane defeated Mrs L. Day and Mrs Bennett, 2 up. Miss McGovern and Miss Reid v. Mrs Gower and Mrs Joll, all square.
