SATURDAY’S FIXTURES. COLLEGE GAME. NEW PLYMOUTH v. HAMILTON. Most of the lovers of Rugby football know that the game as played by the secondary schools and colleges ot tiu Dominion presents a spectacle whic for clean sport, good play, high standard of conduct, and strenuousness ox endeavour takes a lot of equalling. A game of this description will take place at Rugby Park on Saturday on the principal playing area at 3 P-hl» when New Plymouth High School will play Hamilton High School. When these teams met last year at New Plymouth, the local boys were well beaten, but it is hoped that on the local ground, and backed up by a large attendance of enthusiastic supporters, a close and even game will result. Whatever the finish, the game will be all that can-be desired by the most fastidious of critics. The New Plymouth team has some good victories to its credit and will no doubt strive mightily to maintain the School’s honourThe “A" Hamilton representatives will travel to Putaruru by bus, leaving the G.P.O. at 12.15 p.m., to play the Putaruru representatives on the home ground. This is something in the way of a tryout for the Peace Cup games, which will open with the match against Waipa on August 4. The junior competition for the Gilling Cup has been now divided into two sections, and will proceed a further stage, while the games. In all lower grades will continue.
