INDICATIONS OF SUICIDE.

PUKEKOIIE, Thursday.

The discovery of a man lying dead on the roadside between Bombay and (he Razorback, with a half-emptied bottle of poison alongside him, was made by Mr W. H. Pratt this morning. Correspondence found in the poexets of the man’s clothing indicated that he was James Alan Smith a farm labourer, who had been working at Turua and Putaruru. In : the man’s pocket was a post office savings bank pass-book with a credit sufficient for his maintenance for at least two flaoniiis.
