GENERAL ELECTIONS.
THE UNITED PARTY. DOUBTFUL CANDIDATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. In reference to tile United Party’s statement that Mr 11. E. Miller has been selected to contest the Dunedin Central election, Mr Miller states that he has no intention of standing against Sir Charles Stalham. Moreover, if he does stand, which is unlikely, it will be as a Liberal. Mr J. Loudon also denies that he is definitely committed to contest Dunedin West for the United Party. REV. J. K. ARCHER TO STAND. CHRISTCHURCH’S LABOUR MAYOR. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Rev. .J. K. Archer will definitely contest Christchurch North seal as Labour.
