PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN.
NEW ZEALAND OFFICER. TO VISIT THE COMMONWEALTH. METHODS TO BE EXAMINED. (Times Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A more intensive publicity campaign in Australia is expected to result from the tour of the principal cities of the Commonwealth which the New Zealand Government Publicity Officer (Mr A. H. Messenger) is to inaugurate this week. Mr Messenger will leave on Friday by the Mauuganui far Sydney, and will visit Sydney. Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Canberra, returning to Wellington about. July J 6. Publicity methods in Australia will bs closely examined, and new avenues Will be sought for the inlroduction of the material New Zealand has to offer. The main object of tlie tour is the encouragement of 'the interchange of visitors between the Commonwealth and the Dominion, the view being held that the closer the friendship between the sister Dominions t.hc greater the appreciation and consolidation of the Imperial outlook. Mr Messenger, who will have an opportunity of seeing the directions in which New Zealand publicity can be best developed in Australia, will submit' recommendations to tlic Government an his return.
