A small but very enjoyable dance was held in the Maungatautari Hall on Thursday evening. It was a beautiful night for dancing, it being much cooler and the lloor was in excellent order. Visitors were present from Monavale and Cambridge. Dance music was supplied by Miss Strawbridge, and extras were played by Mr Mason and Mr McVicar. Two chocolate waltzes were indulged in, the first being won by Miss M. Osborne and Mr Smith, and the second by Miss M. Ilicks and Mr F. Hicks. The duties of M.C. were in the capable hands of Mr B. Bright. A dainty supper was provided by the ladies, then dancing was continued until after midnight. " Among thase present were:—Mesdames Mason, white crepe de chine; Waite, white and pink embossed satin; McVicar, pihk rayon; Armer, black georgette; Misses R. Osborne, pink crepe dc chine; M. Hicks, lemon crepe de chine and silver lace; F. Strawbridge, blue silk rayon; A. Wilson (Auckland), pink lace overdress and shawl; M. Osborne, red satin, E. Atkinson (Cambridge), black satin; F. Gibbons (Monovalcj, almond green embossed silk; G. Atkinson (Cambridge), rose pink crepe de chine; J. Stravvbridge, mauve art silk.
