NEWSTEAD.

Presbyterian Concert. On Thursday evening in the Ncwslead Hall an enjoyable concert was held in aid of the Matangi Presbyterian Car Fund, when a large attendance of the public gave the performers an enthusiastic reception. Every item was encored, and all were unanimous in declaring the evening one of the most successful yet held in the Mews lead Hall. After the performance the artists were given a fine supper by the committee. The programme included songs by Mrs Watson, Messrs R. N. Eskrigge, Watson, R. Blackie, F. Marwood, T. Scrivner, Rev. Martin; pianoforte solos. Misses Windsor; recitations, Mr Wooderson, and accordeon selections, Mr Emerson.
