FATHER CHRISTMAS.
VISIT TO SUNSHINE WARD. PETER PAN'S GIFTS DISTRIBUTED Father Christmas, complete with Christmas tree, balloons and presents, conducted a delightful function in the Sunshine Ward of the Waikato Hospital vesterday afternoon. No better setting for a Christmas party could have been found than the children's ward bright with flowers, and happy children's faces. Pain and suffering, and the dreariness of confinement were forgotten in the pleasure of seeing that best of all ohildren's friends, Father Christmas. The Christmas Tree which had been decked with lanterns, balloons and gifts by the ladies of the Sunshine League, looked very beautiful. The presents, which, Father Christmas quickly distributed, were obviously satisfactory to the recipients. The children of Peter Pan's circle have now supplied presents for the Nest and the Sunshine Ward—nearly 100 in all. It is hoped that the distribution of gifts" to other children in,Hamilton will be equally successful.
