The Lord Mayor of London, Sir Rowland Blades, who is paying an official visit to Rome, this morning laid wreaths on the Royal tombs at the Pantheon and on the. tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Sir Rowland and his party afterwards went in municipal motor-cars to see important excavations at Ostia, the ancient port of Rome.

Tins afternoon the members of the party were received by the Prime Minister, Siguor Mussolini, at the Villa Torolonia, his summer residence.
