TRAINING COLLEGES.
TRANSFER OF CONTROL PROPOSED. PROTEST FROM BOARD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The Board of Education left the chairman, Mr Burns, to answer a letter from the Minister of Education regarding a suggest ion that the control of training colleges he transferred from the boards to the Education Department.
" They can't, wipe us out. by an act of Parliament," said Mr Burns, "and now they are going to ask us to commit suicide."
