ATTEMPTED BURGLARY.

CASE AT LEAJVUraGTON. RESIDENCE ENTERED. Further evidence that there are undesirables abroad in the Cambridge district is furnished in an incident at Leamington in the early hours of one morning last week, in the shape of an attempted burglary at the residence of Mr A. McKinnon. About 3 a.m. Mr I. McKinnon heard footsteps, but not. realising the time, thought it was his brothcr'returning home, and took no notice until the bedroom window was gently pushed up and a man attempted io enter the room. Observing a movement, in the room the intruder immediately fled and although Mr McKinnon gave chase, he was unable to overtake the burglar.
