COMPETITION No. 7.

FOR CIRCLE MEMBERS. I am looking forward to ever so many entries for Competition No. 7, for members of Peter Pan's Busy Circle. The seniors should not find writing about the Christmas Cheer Campaign difficult, and I know [lie juniors love wordbuilding. The junior competition was suggested by “Vanguard.” Any junior members who wish to do so may enter for the senior competition instead of for the junior.

Senior Division. (Under 16 years.) 1. Competitors are required to write an essay of not more than 500 words on “The Christmas Cheer Campaign.” 2. A book prize of 5s will be awarded. 3. Entries must be received not later ■than Saturday, October 8. Results will be announced on October In. 4. Write in ink and on one side only

of the paper. 5. Name, age, and address must be written at tiic top of each entry. 6. No compcltior may submit more

than one entry. 7. Competitors are on their honour to submit only their own unaided

work. 8. Peter Pan’s decision is to be final, and no correspondence can be entered inio on Lhe matter.

Junior Division. (Under 12 years.) 1. Competitors are required to make as many words as they can out of “Peter Pan’s Eusy Circle.” No proper names, plurals, foreign words, or abbreviations are to be used; and every word must be one that can be found in any good

English dictionary. 2. A book prize to the value of 2s 6d

will be awarded. 3. Entries must be received not'later than Saturday, October 8. Results

will he announced on October 15. 4. Write in ink and on one side only

of the paper. 5. Name, age, and address must be written at the top of each entry. 6. Competitors arc on their honour to submit only their own unaided

work. 7. No competitor may submit more

than one entry. 8. Peter Pan’s decision is final, and no correspondence can be entered into on the matter.
