P/lemorlal Hall. The annual meting of those concerned was held in the hall, Mr A. M. A. Wright presiding. Very few residents, apart from members of the retiring committee, were present. The balance-sheet showed the finances to be in a very healthy state, the total indebtedness being £325, while assets over liabilities were estimated at a little over £llOO.
Recommendations from the retiring committee, changing the end of the financial year to March 31 and altering the tariff for local functions by a reduction of 25 per cent., were approved by the meeting. * The following were appointed management committee for the coming year: Messrs A. M. A. Wright (chairman), A. G. Goodwin (secretary), G. Grayling (treasurer), W. Settle, 11. M. Stevens, G. J. Cobham, J. Bell, and J. Dawson.
The above were also elected as an entertainment committee, with the addition of Messrs J. Kerr, 11. Gatlin, 11. Walls, F. Kilgour, 11. Lansdown and R. Hampton. Mr Kerr was re-appointed auditor.
