NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL.
WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The New Zealand Golf Council met yesterday.
The Canterbury Agricultural College, Eketahuna and Takaka Golf Clubs were elected members of the association, making the total number of clubs in the association 137.
The Rotorua Club, advised that its annual tournament dates were from September 13 to 16. National handicaps were allotted to all amateurs who had applied and to the professionals and certificates are being sent, out to club secretaries immediately.
The Radio Broadcasting Company will broadcast by arrangement the results of the New Zealand championship games each evening.
The Wanganui Club applied for the New Zealand championship meeting in 192 S and this will be discussed at the annual general meeting of delegates at Hamilton. The chairman is to write to the Australian Golf Council, suggesting it should for the future control the KirkWindeyer Cup matches in Australia and that it be asked to suggest details for matches in New Zealand in 1928. THE HAMILTON CLUB. j CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS. The Match Committee of the Hamilton Golf Club has re-considered its decision in regard to the matches in the club championship being played on the day set down on the fixture card. It has now been decided that matches may be played up to the following Friday evening.
