MURDER AT GIBRALTAR.

LIEUTENANT FOUND GUILTY. (Australian and -NZ. Cable Assn.) GIBRALTAR, June 17. Lieut. Duffleld was found guilty of shooting dead Colonel Fitzgerald, the jury rejecting a plea of insanity, but recommending mercy. Lieut. Duffleld was sentenced to be hanged. Lieut. Duffleld was proscuted for the murder of Colonel Fitzgerald, whom he shot while the colonel was making an inspection. Witnesses gave evidence that Lieut. Duflield was entrusted with the accounts of the rifle club. Re was unable to produce the necessary documents when Colonel Fitzgerald demanded them.
