MAEROA RATEPAYERS.

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. That the Maeroa area of the borough is still concerned at the attitude of the Central Electric Power Board to the matter of granting a reduction in the cost per unit of electricity, and the charge of 10d per month for a meter, was again proved at the monthly meeting of the Maeroa Ratepavers' Association on Saturday night. The board decided to adhere to its original decision to reduce the cost per unit from\9d to SJd as from April 1 next. The ratepayers are of opinion that the charge is still far too high, and that a further reduction should be made. It was decided to call a public indignation meeting" in the Maeroa Hail on January 20 to enable householders to express their views on the matter.
