HEALTH BOARD MEMBERS' FEARS.
VIEWS OF MINISTER. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. When the Board nt Health met for its quarterly meeting in September last fears were expressed by members HiaL ' the Local Government Loans Hoard might neutralise the effect of considered action by the board in dealing with millers of grave public importance and would have authority to override its decisions. At tl'.e final 1926 meeting of the board last week, the Minister of Health (lion. J. A. Young) stated ha had given consideration to the views cxnressed. lie /"■■'H sure, however, that the Board of Health need fear no difficulty so far as the Local Government Loans Board was concerned. The Health Board had to consider the public health aspect or schemes submitted, but there were other aspects such a 1; soundness from engineering points of view ,in relation to finance, which would be reviewed by the Loans Board. He felt sure that views of the Board of Health -would always be given the utmost consideration and, he anticipated no difficulty.
