WAR PENSIONS.
NO TIME-LIMIT IMPOSED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A misapprehension which has arisen as to a time-limit for applications for war pensions has been corrected by an explanation from the Minister in charge of War Pensions, Hon. W. Downie Stewart. Following upon the display of posters stating that applications must be in by a prescribed time the conference of patriotic societies recently requested the Government to amend the War Pensions Act by removing alt timelimits.
At to-day's meeting of the New Zealand Execulivc of the Red Gross Society a letter was received from the Minister staling that there was no lime-limit provided in the Act. The soldier could claim a war pension at any lime during his life without any restriction or limit. The posters referred only to Imperial men and thus did not concern New Zealand.
