DIOCESE OF WAIKATO.

BISHOP ELECT DELAYED CONSECRATION POSTPONED. ACTUAL DATE NOT FIXED. The Commissary (Archdcacofl Cowie) has received information from the Archdeacon of New Zealand that a cable has arrived from Archdeacon Cherrington to the effect that the s.s. Mahana is delayed, and that, consequently, he will not arrive beforo December 3 or 5. This means that the Consecration cannot take place on St. Andrew's Day, though it may, possibly, do so on the Octave of the Feast, December 7. There is no other definite news at present. Mrs Cherrington is not accompanying the Archdeacon as she is unfortunately detained in England through an attack of rheumatism.
