Mr B. P. Ward, Under-Secretary of Justice, visited Morrinsvillc on Monday, and left for llotorua on Tuesday. Mr John Fuller arrived at Auckland by the Marama from Sydney yesterday, and will.spend nine days in Auckland before going South. Messrs Jiekell and C.ilmour, consulting engineers of Palmcrslon North, are visiting Hamilton. They will proceed to Waihou to-morrow, in connection wilh Iho drainage scheme. Mr A. 11. Cockayne. Director of the Fields Division Of the Department of Agriculture, returned to Wellington yesterday by the Maheno alter a visit lo Queensland.
Visitors at Iho Commercial Hotel include Mr and .Mrs Thornton Jaf'frey [Auckland), Mr W. A. Kuox (Auckland), and .Mr ami Mrs G. V.V.nl (New Plymouth).
The appointment of the Rev. J. G. T. Castle, M.A., to the' headmastership of King's Preparatory School, Hemuera, was made by the Board of Governors yesterday. Mr Castle, is at present headmaster of the Heretaunga Preparatory School, llavelock .North, llawke's Bay.
