',■■ A meeting of the judicial committee ,was held after the Cup race to consider a report by one of the stipendiary stewards on the driving of Ahuriri by ,J. Bryce. After a lengthy inquiry . Bryce was severly cautioned and fined £ls for interfering with Talaro when coming round the final bend. After the first race the judicial stewards held an inquiry into c. case 'of interference by Kola Boy, who Icrossed Lady Fan about three furlongs from home. N. L. Price, driver of 'Kola Boy, was severely cautioned and fined £25 for careless driving. After •She St. Albans Handicap the parties connected with Direct Wood, who : ,-was favourite for the event, were' 'asked to explain the performance of the mare. J. McLennan, her rider, said she had lost ground at the start and was never afterwards able to pick it up. Mr G. J.
