HEAVY RAINS.
VERY WELCOME AT GISBORNE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Monday. Yesterday’s heavy rain will do incalculable good to pastures in this district, for whilst the spring growth is better a good heavy soaking was needed to carry through the hot weather. Heavy slips occurred on the Meremere Mill, blocking traffic to Opoliki.
