(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Loans authorised by the State Advances Department during the financial year ended on March 31 to 8102 borrowers totalled £8,330,474, made up as follows:—i747 settlers, £5,409310; 3303 workers, £2,703,044; 112 local authentic £157,520. The amount of loans used for the erection of dwellings by 3250 borrowers was £2,937,159. Of these 2728 workers took £2,460,214. Homes for 1170 workers in 1924-25 absorbed £950,100 and for .'355 workers in 1923-24 the amount was £1,092,705. The amounts repaid lo the department under several headings during 1925-20 were:—By settlers, £l,OlO- - workers £514,778; local authorities, £103,000.
