OUT OF CONTROL
MINISTERIAL MOTOR CAR. (Times Correspondent. WELLINGTON, Monday. A lit lie flutter of excitement occurred to-day at Parliament Buildings, fortunately without serious mishap. One of the Ministerial motor cars was standing outside the liowen Street entrance to Parliament House, when it suddenly broke away down the sloping footway to Lamblon Quay. Taking a swerve to the right, the car crashed into a post which supports electric light wires, wrenching the post out of position and causing some of the wires to snap. The car was not greatly damaged, only one of tin; mudguards being dented. The Hon. 0. .1. llawkcn, Minister of Agriculture, had intended to proceed to an appointment in (he car, but he was not in it at the time. Mr llawken's luck seems to lie of a negligible quantity as far as motor cars are concerned at present, fur during the week-end be was cut about the head, to the extent of requiring several stitches, as a result of a motor car bumping heavily on a bad piece of road.
