NOT YET SETTLED. STRONG MEASURES AUTHORISED. CONSTITUTION WITHDRAWAL. Recoived June 7, 9.35 a.m. LONDON, June 6. Tho Sunday Times’ political correspondent says the Government appreciates that the Egyptian situation is not yet settled. If Zaghlul asserts his influence in an attempt to cripple Parliament Lloyd George, the British High Commissioner, will be allowed to exert the strongest measures, including tho closing of the Egyptian Parliament and tho withdrawal of the constitution. • Tho Times’ Cairo correspondent says that Wafd circles acknowledge that the decisive victory of Zaghlul’s candidature was a deliberate challenge, and it would have resulted in tyranny. The challenge was so taken up as to demonstrate the British determination to secure Zaghlul’s capitulation. It is a personal triumph for Lord Lloyd. Britain is not yet out of the wood though her prestige Is higher than at any time sinco Lord Kitchener.
