The Federation of British Industries slates tluit many British exporters to New Zealand complain that owing to the depreciation of the franc, French firms arc seriously undercutting the British in the New Zealand market, despite preferential tariff. The Federation points out that since the withdrawal of legislation against depreciated currencies when the German mark was reestablished no means existed to safeguard British traders against countries with depreciated currencies. The Federation lias approached the New Zealand office with, a view of remedial measures.
