MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS SUPPORT FOR ROYAL SHOW. At (he monthly meeting of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association there were present: Messrs W. Newell (president), F. Martin. W. G. Park. T. Clarkin, T. Bellamy and N. R. Taylor. A letter was received from seerelary Royal Show, Auckland, asking the association to do what it can Inwards assisting lo make a success of the Royal Show to he held at Auckland in Novmber, and advised appointing a committee for this purpose from the Association’s committee. —After considering the letter it was decided that the whole of the executive be a committee io do whatever they can for the success of the Royal Show and the good name of the province. A letter was read from (he Borough Council asking the association for land for easement of corner of Boundary Road and Heaphy Terrace. It was agreed by the meeting that request be granted, but it was considered advisable to request the Council not to accept decision of meeting as final until minute is confirmed or otherwise by subsequent meeting. The following new names were added to the members’ list on the proposal of Mr Martin, seconded by Mr Park:—Messrs R. H. Davies. Rototuna; L. G. Cate, Rototuna; G. Thrupp, Gordonton; W. Dalbeth, Gordonton; N D. Stewart, River Road; G. H. Ghesterman, Hamilton; C. Parry, Rukuhia.
It was agreed that the general, supplementary and executive committees be all called to meet on the Show Grounds the first Thursday in July to keep all in touch with the work of the association and to see the grounds.
