$ HOME AND FOREIGN. LONDON June 4. The Minister of Finance in th n Free Slate Government, Mr E. Blythe, introduced a Finance Bill in the Dail. The Minister stated that in connection with the tax on betting the Government proposed to introduce a lolalisator or pari-mutuel system. Captain 11. A. PARIS, June 4. Tiie Minister of Finance, M. Perct, informed the Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies that the mvernmenl has already used part of credit obtained in New York from Llic J. P. Morgan Company. This lias been utilised to holster up the franc. ROME, June 4. A statement regarding the financial situation in Italy was made by Count Volpi, Minister of Finance, in the Chamber of Deputies. The Minister announced that there was a surplus of £26,720,000 at the end of April compared with a deficit of £9,040,000 last year.
