THE KING’S BIRTHDAY.

A CANCELLED FEATURE. WO RLD - WID E CONG RATULATIONS. (Reuter.) LONDON, June 3. The usual picturesque feature of the King’s Birthday celebrations of trooping the colours at lire Horse Guards’ parade was omitted at today's ceremony. It was cancelled in consequence of strike dislocation business scattering the Guards, who arc on duty in various parts of the country. The Royal celebration of the event, in accordance with custom, was confined to a family luncheon party at Buckingham Palace, outside of which was a crowd larger than usual. Gables of congratulations were received from all parts of the world.
