"\TOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council under the powers conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Rating Act, 1925, Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and llieir amendments, and all other powers enabling in that behalf, at a meeting to be held at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the twenty-third day of June, 1920, to make and levy for the year commencing the Ist day of April, 1926, and ending the 31st day of March, 1927, the following rates: — Over the “Hamilton” area of the Borough, a CONSOLIDATED RATE of 4 31-32 d in ttie £ in lieu of a GENERAL RATE of twopence and onesixteenth of a penny (2 l-16d) in the £ upon the unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Hamilton, anti a SPECIAL RATE of twopence and twenty-nine thirty-seconds of a penny (229-32 d) in the £ to cover Interest and Sinking Fund on 1886 loan of £3000; Drainage No. 1 Loan of £1240/17/11; Bridge, Streets, Town Hall and Drainage (being part of loan of £42,472) Loan of £30,472; Drainage No. 3 Loan of £2300; Streets, Lands Improvement, Surface Water Drainage, Street Lighting and No. 1 Bridge Loan of £45,800; Baths, Town Hall and Domain Board (being part of lean of £3950), Loan of £3600; Bridge Loan of £1700; Streets 10 per cent Loan of £4000; Saleyards Loans of £2OOO and £1100; Town Hall Loan of £2200; Drainage Loan of £II,OOO. Also a SPECIAL Alexandra Street fan of £I2OO, rate of one-thirteenth -13 d) of a penny in the £ upon the improved value of all rateable-pro-rtv contained in Sections 82, S 3, , 85, 86, 87, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94 and ’of the Town of Hamilton West. Also the following WATER RATES respect to ordinary supply: Upon all ids and buildings to which water is pplied and whose annual rateable luc appearing on the Roil does not ceed £l2 10s, a rate of 10s; exeding £l2 10s, a rate of 3i per ntum on such rateable value. Upon lands and buildings to which water n be hut is not supplied, within 100 rds of any part of tne Waterworks, rate of one-half of the rates above mtioned. Upon all lands and buildgs used as stores and warehouses, "any other purpose than a dwelling use, a rate, of one-half of the full tes above-mentioned. Provided that ion the supply to such lands and ildings is wholly paid for by Meter, is rate shall not be levied thereon. The whole of the above rates to be ic and payable in each case in one rn to the Collector, at the Borough lice, on the 14th day of July, 1926.
