LICENSE GRANTED.
THE WANGANUI INCIDENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.} WANGANUI, Thursday. The application for a renewal of the license of the liutland Hotel was granted at Ihe adjourned jyieeting of the Licensing Coininitlee yesterday. Wlien Hie application came up for consideration on Tuesday the chairman of the coininitlee, Mr J. S. Barton, said that it hail come under tlie notice of the committee that a house bar in the hotel had been found "in full swing” at 2.30 a.m. The complaint was made by a lodger, who said lie could not sleep on account of tlie noise that was being made downstairs beneath his bedroom.
