(To the Editor.) Sir, —It is to be hoped that the remarks of "Square Deal" will be carefully studied by those good people at present in favour of raising the yearly flat rate on cars. It is surely obvious that the most equitable system of taxing motorists is by a petrol tax, thus ensuring that those who use the roads more than others have to pay more in taxation. —I am, etc., I FAIR PLAY.
