A SUGGESTION.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Now that intense cultivation is so strongly advocated on the farm, would it not be a good opportunity to hold a lecture for those intereslcd in the root section at the Winter Show? I am sure that there are many farmers like myself who would like to know wherein they make mistakes in growing the different kinds of roots. Why not hold a lecture on Saturday afternoon, for instance, with the judge of the root section as lecturer, and allow each farmer if lie so desires to ask questions on his own exhibit? I am sure such lectures would be much appreciated and lead to a much more uniform mangold, swede, and turnip being grown.—l am, etc.,

YOUNG COMPETITOR,
