FEDERAL FINANCE.
GROSS PUBLIC DEBT. (United Press Association.) MELBOURNE, June 2. The Commonwealth statistician's figures for Hie year 1921-23 show that the gross public debt of the Commonwealth and the Stales at the end of June, i92r>, amounted to £905,870Bii. The Commonwealth's consolidated revenue for the same period amounted to £GS,SS4,SO9 and the Commonwealth's public debt to £430918,002.
Of this latter amount £140,117,023 was payable in London.
