A serious fire occurred at the Renault motor works at Ballancourt, Where the workers were recently on strike. The lire started in the petrol store and spread lo the tyre works, which were destroyed. The police consider that the tree was the result of an accident. The workmen helped the brigade lo extinguish the flames. The damage is estimated at several million francs.
