ASHBURTON MEETING. THE AUTUMN MEETING. ASHBURTON. Saturday. The Ashburton Trotting Club's autumn meeting was held to-day in fine weather before a large altcndance, the course being in good order. Results: — • Improvers' Handicap: Ruflnc 1, Acre 2, Zenith 3. All started. Won by two lengths, 12 lengths between second and third. Time, 3.27 3-5. Allenlon Handicap: Kcmpton 1, Peter Felix 2, Gold Digger 3. All started. Won by four lengths, six lengths between second and third. Time, 3.44 3-5.
Durbar Handicap: Becky Logan 1, Trcnand 2, Bing. Boy 3. All started. A close finish. Time, 4.30 3-5. Harvest Handicap: Kulnine 1, Honour Bright 2, Whakuku 3. Scratched: Wild Pigeon, Henry Tracey, Henry Logan. Won by a head, same between second and third. Time, 2.54.3-5. Autumn Handicap: Locanda Child 1, Newcourt 2, Ivor 3. Scratched: Ariki. Won by a head, same between second and third. Time, 4.44. Utility Handicap: Kelman 1, Grand Nature 2. Scratched: Patard, Little Johnnie. Won by a length, a head between second and third. Time, 4.42.
Rakaia Handicap: Succession 1, Bingen Lad 2, Nantwich 3. Scratched: Judge Hancock, Event, Wharcpiana, Ring Boy. Won-by- four lengths. Time, 2.42'J.
