HOCKEY.

SATURDAY'S GAMES. Further games were indulged in at Scddon Park on Saturday with a view to sorting out an eleven to meet the Indians on Saturday, May 15. There was an improvement in form from the previous week's games, but generally the play was patchy. Old Boys 4 v. Hlnemoa 1. Old Boys fielded a strong eleven against Hincmoa and took the honours by four goals to one. The winners were lucky to score as many as they did, as their work in the circle was poor. In the second spell, Old ; Boys had Hincmoa hemmed in practically the whole time, their backs playing very good hockey, but the forwards failed to finish smartly in the circle. Hincmoa forwards got very few chances to do anything in this session. Old Boys were easily superior. Messrs. Eade and Fabling refcreed. Y.M.C.A. 2 v. 'Pourl O. Y.M.C.A. scored a two-goal victory over Ngahinepouri. Considering the strengthened Y.M.C.A. team, which includes several, of .Frank-ton-United players, 'Pouri showed' improved form, and with a little more cohesion will be good. Their backs are promising, but the half line has not settled down yet. The Y.M.C.A. half line contains the two'Goodwins, and is a solid proposition. The score was about the run of the game. Mr Fabling refcreed. The juniors indulged in useful practise games during the afternoon. AUCKLAND MATCHES. AUCKLAND, Saturday. Somerville 0, v. St. Luke's 1. Arela 4, v. Stanley 0. University 2, v. Somerville Colts 1. Wesley. 9, v. Mount Eden 3.
